 Candles are everywhere these days, but they are often filled with toxic ingredients. Paraffin based candles emit chemicals like benzene, carbon tetrachloride, toluene, and naphthalene. Lead emitted is a serious health hazard too. Scented candles may contain oils with phthalates and chemicals that produce poor indoor air quality.
