A glass of bubbly for each participant on arrival! You're very welcome to BYO additional bubbly and snacks too. Instructor has RSA certification.

Each participant will take home the two candles they make. Remember the unforgettable fun had each time you light them.

Each participant can choose from our phthalate free fragrance library of: watermelon, vanilla bean, salted caramel, rose, pina colada, persian lime and lemongrass, coconut lime, blueberry cheesecake and 1 million.

  • A live virtual experience over Zoom. Candle making kits are sent to attendees prior - Australia only. Includes shipping cost.
  • We also offer in person classes at venues on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula.

What you’ll need to provide if you choose the virtual class option:

  • A stovetop or electric cooktop to melt the wax.
  • A double boiler set up ie: A kitchen pot is filled with tap water. You then place the wax in another smaller container or jug within that kitchen pot to melt it.
  • An apron, paper, pen, and a digital scale.

 The kit contains:

2 x candle glasses

2 x wicks

2 x stickums

2 x 50g phthalate free fragrance oil

1 x 10g liquid candle dye

1 x thermometer

1 x 1kg bag soy wax

1 x plastic pouring jug

 

Safety Recommendations:

A apron will be provided to protect you at in person workshops. 

We recommend that you wear close toed shoes for safety. A long sleeve top is also preferred to protect skin in case of splashes. Soy wax is water soluble so it will wash out of fabric.

 

Extras:

  • We'll provide you with a small box to transport your creations home safely if you are attending an in-person workshop. Large candles can take up to 3 hours to fully set. Alternatively, we can arrange to courier all candles out at a later date for an additional fee. (Postage is $10.00 per participant sent individually, or quoted if sent all together.)
  • If you would like preorder any candle making supplies to take home with you from the workshop, simply order online and use discount code WORKSHOPPICKUP to erase the shipping cost. Be sure to leave details in the notes of which workshop you are attending.
  • If any of the guests would like to make an additional large candle this can be arranged for an additional $40.00 on arrival. We have eftpos facilities on site.

Kits:

A soy candle making kit will be mailed in time for the class. Shipping is included. The recipient will need to book at least 72 hours prior to class time if they live in Melbourne, and up to a week if they live in other states, to ensure they receive the kit in time. We ship Australia wide. They will need to advise us of their shipping address at the time of booking in.

What’s included in the kit:

Everything needed to make two soy candles

  • 1 x 1 kg bag of soy wax - enough for your containers.
  • 2 x Candle wicks
  • 1 x pouring jug

What participants need to provide:

Each kids’ holiday workshop is a drop-off program on the Mornington Peninsula. (Exact location to be confirmed.)

Program details:

There will be a minimum of ten and maximum of 25 children per program.

The program is designed for children aged 7 – 16 years old. We break to play games, win prizes, and have fun.

The kids will make 3 creations to take home.

Educators: All facilitators have a current working with children check.

Safety:

Kids should wear close toed shoes and a long sleeve top while soap making in case of splashes. Melt and pour soap washes easily out of clothes. Our fragrances are phthalate free.

We will serve popcorn, fruit, corn chips and water. If your child has allergies or doesn’t like the food provided, you can supply your own NUT free snacks. Please alert us to any allergies via email at info@blazeandfoam.com.au. Please also remind our facilitators at drop off. Children that have an anaphylactic allergy, must bring an EpiPen. Children that don’t have an EpiPen, won’t be able to stay.

During the one-hour break between programs, the children are supervised by our experienced staff. They can eat their own home packed lunch and participate in down-time activities such as drawing, puzzles and crafts. If your child is staying for the full day, please pack them a nut free lunch to eat during the supervised one hour lunch break between programs.

Join beginner soap making enthusiasts for a fun live group workshop!

Learn the basics. By the end of this informative class you will know how to make soap using the melt and pour technique. Ideal to make gifts for your friends.

This is a live virtual event. 

 

About The Workshop:

Suitable for anyone who wants to make soap for a fun new hobby, as gifts or to launch a new business. The melt and pour style of soap making does not require lye or chemicals. It's as simple as melting the base, adding fragrance and colour, then pouring it into the mould to set.

We’ll send a melt and pour soap making kit to you prior to your class - which will consist of all the materials and tools you need for the class. Shipping is included. A Zoom link will be sent to you after booking.

Please book at least 72 hours prior to your class time if you live in Melbourne, and up to a week if you live in other states, to ensure you receive your mailed kit in time. We ship Australia wide.

You will need access to either a microwave or double boiler. An apron is also recommended.

 

The Melt & Pour Soap Making Kit Includes:

  • 1 x KG block clear Stephenson Crystal PF base, melt and pour soap: a vegetable derived, palm oil free soap base made with Rapeseed Stearic & Coconut Oil.

  • 3 x 10ml fragrance oils

  • We will be melting the wax in a separate area, and kids will be supervised when pouring their candles.

  • The different types of wax used to make candles and the benefits of soy wax over other waxes.
  • Candle wicks - how wicks sizes work and how to correctly wick a candle.

  • Your child will choose 3 different fragrances and 3 candle containers.

  • For in person workshops, will provide a box for each participant to transport their creations home in. Please note that large candles can take up to 3 hours to fully set. Alternatively, we can arrange to send all candles out in bulk at a later date for an additional courier fee. - to be quoted, or individually to each participant's address. 

 

Safety:

We recommend that that participants wear close toed shoes and no heels for safety.

A long sleeve top is also recommended to ensure skin is protected in case of splashes. Soy wax is water soluble.
